Teata was born in Indian territory and grew up in songs and stories of the Chikasso tribe. Her journey to find her true profession led her through loneliness, discovery, love, and stage life, ultimately performing for American presidents, European royalty, and audiences around the world. However, among all the stories she shared, none were more inspiring than her own.
