The film takes place in Sheffield of England, a place which used to be famous for steel production. It had gone through a vigorious period in economic development, and yet industry declined which led to the redundancy of labors.
Gaz and Dave spent most of their time in the employment centre and were fed up with the environment, thus planned a striptease act.
They formed a six men gang and started to practise.
Each man of the gang had their own problems, for example:
Gaz had to pay estovers for his wife so as to retain his dignity as a father.
Dave was awared of his weight and felt belittled by his wife.
Gerald sealed his unemployed status from his wife and had to deal with his lavish-spending wife.
The Six men supported each other and the brotherhood was highlighted. It was a journey of self discovery and the pursuit of dignity.

一群失业大叔，为了自己的责任，最后决定丢去脸面跳脱衣舞赚钱。有失业人的辛酸，没有钱的无奈，社会的压力，为了钱愿意做自己鄙视的工作。但是却打死也不愿意做一天工作好几个小时却赚不到多少钱的工作，有点眼高手低的意味。正因为如此这群人才能做到一些旁人无法做到的事，可以扔掉一些世俗的事，无论走到了多窘困的环境，他们都对自己的人生价值都有一定的信心。他们不像很多光会惆怅在为一点点钱虚度光阴，也不会在惆怅中失去斗志向现实投降，他们在努力发现机会并且迈开步伐去争取。孤芳自赏后，还是需要用自己的实际行动证明自己很不一样。
